The recently concluded Training of Trainers (TOT) in Conflict Transformation and Facilitation by Voices of the Young (VOY) has left a lasting impact on everyone involved. This intensive program brought together a diverse group of individuals from organizations such as WAA Cameroon, COMISUD, and more all passionate about improving communication and finding constructive solutions to conflict.
Here’s a look at the elements that made this TOT cohort so impactful:
From Theory to Practice
This training wasn’t just about theory. Participants engaged in role-playing, real-world scenarios, and simulations, allowing them to practice conflict transformation techniques in a hands-on, supportive setting. This experiential approach helped them strengthen their facilitation skills and gain confidence in applying these techniques in real life.

Learning from Diverse Perspectives
The varied backgrounds of participants added a unique richness to the training. By sharing insights from their own experiences, participants were able to deepen their understanding of conflict in different contexts. This exchange of ideas broadened everyone’s perspective, making the program truly transformative.

Building a Supportive Community
Beyond learning new skills, the TOT program fostered a strong sense of community. Participants formed lasting bonds, supporting and encouraging each other as they prepare to take on roles as facilitators and conflict resolvers. This network is expected to be a valuable resource, offering guidance and support as they face future challenges. One of the most inspiring aspects of this cohort was seeing participants from diverse fields discover common ground and create innovative approaches to conflict resolution.
VOY extends its gratitude to all participants and partner organizations for their commitment and enthusiasm. The shared experiences and new connections made during this TOT promise to strengthen efforts toward peace and constructive dialogue in our communities.
