Gender Justice

Empowering Equality and Inclusivity

Gender equality2.jpg

We recognise that gender equality is fundamental to achieving sustainable development and creating just societies. Our Gender Justice program is dedicated to addressing the inequalities faced by individuals based on their gender, promoting equal rights and promoting inclusive environments where everyone can succeed.

Why Gender Justice Matters

Gender-based discrimination and violence remain widespread in many communities, preventing social, economic and political progress. Women, girls and gender minorities often face barriers that limit their opportunities and rights, contributing to cycles of poverty and inequality.

By promoting gender equality, we aim to create a world in which all people, regardless of gender, have the opportunity to fulfil their potential and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Our Approach

  1. Awareness and education: We conduct workshops and training to raise awareness of gender issues, rights and equality, and empower individuals to challenge gender-based violence, discrimination and stereotypes.

  2. Capacity building: We equip individuals and organisations with the skills to advocate for gender equality, providing resources and training on gender-responsive policies and leadership.

  3. Community engagement: We encourage open dialogue within communities, challenge harmful practices and promote collective responsibility for gender equality.

  4. Support and empowerment: We provide support services to survivors of gender-based violence and focus on empowering marginalised people, especially women and girls, by building their confidence and leadership skills.

  5. Advocacy and policy change: We actively advocate for gender-responsive policies and work with other organisations to promote systemic change at local, national and international levels.

Expected outcomes

  • Increased awareness: Communities become more informed about gender issues and the importance of equality.

  • Empowered individuals: Participants gain the skills and confidence to stand up for their rights and challenge discrimination.

  • Stronger support networks: Survivors of gender-based violence receive the help they need, contributing to healing and recovery.

  • Policy change: Advocacy leads to the implementation of gender-sensitive policies that promote equality and inclusivity.
